The REBEL is a
simple 2 piece body.
It is designed to fit
on a VW bug chassis
that is 15 inches
shorter than factory.
This one has a 3 inch
body lift, which gives
it the severe wheel
clearance. This
REBEL is well suited
to cruise the streets,
climb some trails in
the local mountains,
or go down to the
waters edge at the
beach. Powered by a
stock 1600cc engine
but only weighing
1340lbs, it can get up
and go. Of course
when we put a 150hp
NO2 ready 1914cc
race motor we had
lying around from an
old race bug, we
couldn't keep the
front end down,
which made for a
REAL FUN ride!!
